Rancho Murieta Connect was created by longtime residents Pati and Dan Gonsalves, to make it easier for neighbors to discover local businesses, services, organizations and events.

Its story is shaped by four generations of family ties to Rancho Murieta, years of experience in community leadership and a shared belief that useful local information should be easy to find.

The People Behind RMC

Pati Gonsalves

Founder and Creator

Pati’s career began in newspaper advertising and journalism and later included publishing a local newspaper, leading business and community organizations and working in corporate management.

She served as President of the Discovery Bay Chamber of Commerce and founded GoPati Media & Marketing, where she helps small businesses and community organizations with websites, branding, content and practical digital solutions.

Rancho Murieta Connect brings together her experience in communication, business, technology and community involvement in one deeply local project.

Dan Gonsalves

Supporter and Community Ambassador

Dan has supported Rancho Murieta Connect from the beginning, offering encouragement, practical input and an honest sounding board as the platform has developed.

He is also one of RMC’s strongest community ambassadors—always ready to explain the idea, make an introduction and help spread the word.

Pati and Dan want RMC to remain useful, welcoming and grounded in the needs of the community.

From Family History to Community Resource

Four Generations in Rancho Murieta

The family’s Rancho Murieta story began in the late 1980s, when Pati's mom, Jacqueline “Jacquie” Lucido, made Rancho Murieta her home.

Pati and Dan Gonsalves followed in 1998. After graduating from college, their daughter Teresa joined them here and met her future husband, Greg, whose family also lived in Rancho Murieta. Teresa and Greg married, and all four of their children were born and raised here.

From Jacquie to her great-grandchildren, Rancho Murieta has been part of four generations of the family’s story — a place to build friendships, raise children, work, volunteer, celebrate milestones and experience the meaning of community.

The Dinner-Table Idea That Became RMC

Rancho Murieta Connect began with a conversation around the family dinner table about whether the community could benefit from something similar to a Chamber of Commerce—a central place where local businesses, organizations, events and resources could be discovered and supported.

Both Jacquie and Pati understood the value of community organizations. Jacquie had served as Executive Director of the Amador County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, and Pati had served as President of the Discovery Bay Chamber of Commerce.

They also wanted something different: an independent and welcoming platform centered on positive community connections without political activity, formal memberships or competing interests.

A local idea, built locally, for the community we call home.

Inspired by Two Remarkable Women

The purpose and spirit behind Rancho Murieta Connect were shaped by two extraordinary women at the heart of our family: our mother, Jacqueline "Jacquie" Lucido, and our daughter, Teresa Jorgensen. Their leadership, compassion and love of community continue to inspire the project.

Jacqueline “Jacquie” Lucido

Leadership, communication and community service

Jacquie understood the power of communication and community involvement.

A pioneering woman in newspaper publishing and marketing, she held executive leadership roles overseeing numerous daily and weekly publications throughout the Bay Area. She later served as Executive Director of the Amador County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau.

She used her experience to support local businesses, civic organizations, charitable causes, young people and veterans. Her example showed that communication is about more than promotion—it is how people remain informed, included and connected.

Teresa Jorgensen

Compassion, family and an unmistakable love of life

Teresa brought intelligence, strength, humor and an unmistakable energy to everything she did. Her warmth and enthusiasm could change the feeling of a room the moment she entered it.

She built a respected career as a registered nurse and case manager with the VA Northern California Health Care System. She was a leader in her profession and deeply committed to caring for others, but the role she treasured most was being a mother to her four children.

Teresa loved the beach, the sunshine and Rancho Murieta—the community where she and her husband, Greg, raised their family. Her compassion, devotion to family and contagious love of life remain deeply woven into the heart behind Rancho Murieta Connect.

Rancho Murieta Connect is lovingly dedicated to Jacquie and Teresa, whose leadership, compassion, strength and belief in community continue to inspire its purpose.

Rancho Murieta Connect was designed, developed and is personally maintained by GoPati Media & Marketing.

RMC is not a national directory, automated listing service, membership organization or political organization. It is an independently operated, free community resource created for local businesses, service providers, nonprofit organizations, clubs, community groups and residents.

Its purpose is not to replace the organizations and social media groups already serving Rancho Murieta. It helps bring useful local information together in one welcoming and easy-to-find place.

Our goal remains simple: make it easier to find local, support local and connect locally.
